As an inclusive approach to EAL, you will support students with varying levels of English to access the curriculum. You will not only teach subject content but also actively develop language, literacy, and communication fluency within your lessons.

Your educational philosophy will equip you to meet the needs of all learners and enable you to teach students with a range of prior achievement, knowledge, and skills. Your expertise and planning adaptability will allow you to map out pathways for all students to progress in your subject, creating opportunities for all learners to achieve success based on individualized targets.

You will be invested in the promotion of your subject both within and beyond the classroom. You will seek out opportunities for visits and visitors to enrich learning, as well as contributing to our Extracurricular Activities programme after school. You will be an active member of the school community, embracing events involving other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in a relevant specialist subject, a teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PDGE), and teaching experience in a UK and/or international context. A strong working knowledge of the English national curriculum as relevant to your subject is essential. Fluency in English is also required, either at native or near-native level.
