  • Collaboration and Negotiation: Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maximize customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately.
  • Store Operations: Produce layout plans for stores, maintain store shelves, and inventory.
  • Financial Planning: Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, and clear outs.
  • Customer Relationships: Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Remain up to date with industry's best practices.
  • Call Schedule Management: Determine call schedule by reviewing priorities with supervisor; discussing special instructions, product promotions, new products, and price changes.
  • Store Shelf Maintenance: Maintain store shelves by observing displays of company products; removing damaged or freshness-dated products; tidying store shelves; providing optimum display of products.
  • Inventory Restocking: Maintain inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
  • Competitor Analysis: Complete call report by observing display and pricing of competitors' products.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide information by reporting growth, expansion, or closing of supermarkets in assigned territory.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
  • Professional Development: Enhance merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
