Job Description:

The Broadcast IT Specialist role is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcast systems. This includes installing, maintaining, and upgrading equipment based on IT systems involved in studio operations, MCR or transmission chain.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily checks on engineering equipment and services to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
  • Conduct regular checks and adjustments to confirm equipment is ready for operations and use.
  • Execute periodic maintenance plans to minimize downtime for all broadcast IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to broadcast equipment, following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.
  • Maintain high levels of servicing for the system, including software and firmware upgrades.
  • Implement IT security guidelines for broadcast equipment.
  • Provide presentations, training assistance, and unit documentation as required.
  • Document and report feedback, including weekly performance reviews and issue escalations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Science with emphasis on Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
