Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accountant to join our team at Bourbon SA. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Accounts Payable: Manage the entire accounts payable cycle, ensuring compliance with company policies and regional requirements. Process purchase invoices in a timely and accurate manner, proposing weekly payment runs for validation and approval by the Finance Manager/Managing Director.
  2. Accounts Receivable/Credit Control: Oversee all aspects of accounts receivable and credit control, ensuring transactions are performed in line with company policies and local requirements. Analyze client contracts to ensure accurate revenue recognition timing and invoicing.
  3. Cash Management/Other: Supervise the upload of bank statements into the reporting group system (Oracle) and process employee expenses. Prepare and maintain process flow documentation for AP/AR/Cash management.

Requirements

  1. At least 3-5 years of transaction/process management experience in a fast-moving environment.
  2. 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
  3. BA in finance/accounting.
  4. Experience working with multi-currency ledgers.
  5. Previous exposure to Oracle EBS advantageous.
  6. Advanced Excel skills essential.
  7. Knowledge of RO VAT.
  8. Experience in working in an international environment.
