About the Role:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all staff members are performing their duties efficiently. This includes supervising the scheduling of shifts, coordinating with the Restaurant Manager to ensure that all expenses and revenues are properly managed, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of restaurant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Oversight: Supervise the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring that all staff members are performing their duties efficiently.
  2. Scheduling and Staff Management: Prepare weekly work schedules for staff and find suitable replacements in case of staff absence.
  3. Training and Development: Assist the Restaurant Manager in conducting orientation and training for all staff on rules and regulations, leadership structure, safety regulations, legal issues, computer hardware and software, and restaurant operations.
  4. Inventory Management: Ensure proper inventory and coordinate with the person in charge to order restaurant supplies.
  5. Supply Chain Management: Receive delivered restaurant supplies and verify that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
  6. Financial Management: Assist the Restaurant Manager in maintaining updated records of daily, weekly, and monthly revenues and expenses.
  7. Customer Service: Supervise all staff on the best ways to resolve customer issues and deliver excellent customer service.
  8. Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant.
  9. Customer Relations: Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost the restaurant's reputation.
  10. Strategic Planning: Identify strategies to retain and attract customers.
  11. Performance Management: Assist the Restaurant Manager in setting performance objectives to evaluate staff performance, while providing spot corrections and continuous feedback.
  12. Compliance: Ensure compliance with restaurant security, health, and safety in accordance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations in Qatar.
  13. Health and Safety: Awareness of health and safety requirements when preparing and delivering food issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  14. Food Safety: Knowledge of the registration process of foodstuff and approval process for foodstuff labeling to ensure compliance with Ministry of Public Health standards.
  15. Shelf-Life Management: Ensure to follow Qatar shelf-life standards.
  16. HR Coordination: Assist the Restaurant Manager in coordinating with the HR Department on the application and renewal of restaurant legal documents and staff Food Handling Certificates.
  17. Marketing Support: Assist the Restaurant Manager to create and propose posts, ideas to promote our products on Instagram and other social media daily, adding necessary comments with the assistance of the Marketing Department.
  18. Sales Performance: Assist the Restaurant Manager to achieve and exceed restaurant sales targets.
  19. Reporting: Assist the Restaurant Manager to provide weekly reports including a summary of daily tasks, staff performance, and sales results.
  20. Staff Management: Ensure that the staff is present and on time in the restaurant.
  21. Communication: Maintain a courteous attitude when communicating with co-workers or subordinates.
  22. Confidentiality: Ensure staff confidentiality regarding company information.
  23. Policy Explanation: Assist the Restaurant Manager in providing detailed explanations of memos to ensure staff understand company policies and guidelines.
  24. Staff Appearance: Ensure that staff appearance is appropriate for the workplace.
  25. Uniform Policy: Ensure that all staff wear company-provided uniforms at all times in the restaurant.
  26. Name Tag Policy: Ensure that all staff wear their name tags at all times in the restaurant.
  27. Disciplinary Action: Report any violations occurring in the restaurant to the Human Resources Department for appropriate disciplinary action.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Good knowledge and experience with food delivery service providers.
  • Availability: Availability to work within opening hours (including weekends and holidays).
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills with the ability to supervise and motivate the team.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Passion for Coffee and Customer Service: Must be enthusiastic and have a passion for coffee and customer service.
