About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Munitions Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling, storage, and transportation of munitions and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Explosives Safety and Security: Ensure compliance with all relevant explosives safety and security standards, including USAF and host nation regulations.
  2. Munitions Operations: Receive, store, inspect, test, transport, and maintain munitions and related equipment, including material handling equipment.
  3. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure all munitions and related equipment meet established standards.
  4. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to junior personnel on munitions operations, safety, and security procedures.
  5. Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of munitions and related equipment.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with operations personnel to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to munitions operations.
Requirements
  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Experience: Minimum of four years of experience in military munitions, with formal training in munitions systems and operations.
  3. Certifications: Certified Munitions Inspector and/or award of SEI 836.
  4. Security Clearance: Eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.
  5. Physical Demands: Physically capable of performing all required duties, including lifting and moving heavy equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Munitions Functional Areas: Working knowledge of all munitions functional areas, including storage, maintenance, control, and inspection.
  2. Information Systems: Intermediate knowledge of MC2 and other information systems.
  3. Experience with TICMS and CAS: Experience with Theater Integrated Combat Munitions Systems (TICMS) and Combat Ammunitions System (CAS).
