Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Link and Wireless Communications Systems Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Engineering: Lead the system engineering of RF subsystems, ensuring seamless integration with other system components.
  • Waveform Simulations: Utilize expertise in waveform simulations using modulation schemes such as PSK, FSK, OFDM, and QAM to optimize system performance.
  • RF Impairments: Familiarize yourself with common RF impairments, including phase noise, multipath, and Doppler, to ensure robust system design.
  • Link Budget and Propagation Modeling: Develop and apply link budget and propagation modeling techniques to evaluate end-to-end system performance.
  • RF Transceiver and Front End Design: Possess a strong understanding of RF transceiver and front end design, including common tradeoffs in RF designs for communication systems.

Requirements:

  • Experience with system engineering of RF subsystems.
  • Experience with waveform simulations using modulation schemes such as PSK, FSK, OFDM, and QAM.
  • Familiarity with common RF impairments: phase noise, multipath, and Doppler.
  • Strong understanding of RF transceiver and front end design and common tradeoffs in RF designs for communication systems.
