Your Day-to-Day Role

In this role as an Accounts Supervisor, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting the overall financial operations of our property. Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Managing Daily Cash and Cheque Collection: You will oversee all daily cash and cheque collection from cashiers and bill collectors, adhering strictly to hotel policies and formally reconciling collected amounts with system reports.
  2. Foreign Currency Exchange: You will perform daily foreign currency exchange with the officially appointed money changer, checking and reconciling all foreign exchange submissions and calculations from Front Office and POS.
  3. Banking and Reporting: You will prepare and perform banking of all daily cash and cheques collected, as well as preparing the General Cashier Report where daily collection/banking is formally reconciled.
  4. Petty Cash Management: You will maintain all in-house funds at operational level by timely reimbursing cashier's paid-outs and proceed randomly to float count, formalized in report.
  5. Monitoring Hotel Foreign Exchange Rates: You will monitor the daily hotel foreign exchange rates and update all rates as per hotel policy.
  6. Safeguarding Assets: You will ensure the safeguard of all cheques and cash received in your custody.
  7. Collaboration with Other Departments: You will collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations and communication.
  8. Compliance and Risk Management: You will monitor compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

What We Need From You

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  1. Finance and Accounting Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  2. Industry Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least one year in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  3. General Cashiering and Income Audit Knowledge: Strong knowledge of general cashiering and income audit processes.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
