About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chemistry Professor to join our academic team at The International School of Choueifat - Amman. As a Chemistry Professor, you will be responsible for teaching and implementing the SABIS curriculum and philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taught classes using provided lesson plans, developing new plans as needed based on pacing charts.
  • Marks exams related to taught subjects according to schedules and materials provided by the department.
  • Discussed disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) when necessary.
  • Implemented the SABIS Point System to create a conducive learning environment in the classroom.
  • Proctored exams as needed, ensuring adequate test environments.
  • Provided support to academically low-performing students through guidance and motivation to improve their performance.
  • Assisted in external exams preparation by reviewing previous exams as per structured revision schedules (when applicable to specific grade levels).
  • Aided in duties including testing students, substituting absent teachers, organizing students, controlling traffic, and other administrative tasks assigned by school management.
  • Prepared and participated in activity plans related to student life events such as art, open houses, and physical education in coordination with the Student Life Coordinator (SLC).
  • Attended training sessions as requested by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS system and improve student performance.
  • Completed other related tasks or projects delegated by school management.
