Job Description

Job Title: Flight Dispatcher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Dispatcher to join our team at Qatar Airways. As a Flight Dispatcher, you will be responsible for undertaking Flight Planning activities using advanced systems and tools to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze operational data to plan flights from origin to destination, considering safety, economy, and punctuality.
  • Compute company flight plans, taking into account environmental conditions, aircraft performance capabilities, and navigation facilities.
  • Ensure ATS flight plans are filed according to local and international regulations, and comply with approved routes and airspace restrictions.
  • Monitor Automated Flight Plans and ensure flight briefing packages are released and ATS flight plans are filed on time.
  • Respond to aircraft changes or type changes, undertaking revised studies to release safe and economical flight plans.
  • Maintain a continuous watch on flight plans and advise the PIC of any operational information affecting the safe conduct of flight.

Requirements:

  • Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 4 years of job-related experience performing Flight Dispatch functions.
