The key responsibility of this role is to manage the administration of main server operating systems and applications, ensuring seamless operation and high security standards are met.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Forge partnerships with suppliers to secure the delivery and maintenance of systems software, applications, and hardware.
  2. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive the achievement of organizational objectives.
  3. Provide prompt and accurate information to external and internal auditors, as well as the Compliance department, as needed.
  4. Install, monitor, and maintain the main servers' systems and applications for Linux.
  5. Guarantee a stable operating systems environment to ensure applications meet service level requirements.
  6. Develop documentation for specific platforms' procedures and guidelines for business continuity and contingency planning within the overall policy framework.
  7. Prepare documentation for specific platforms' procedures and guidelines for data and systems security within the overall policy framework.
  8. Monitor main systems operating systems and application performance sizing and utilization.
  9. Provide automated and documented procedures for data center operations efficiency and backup site synchronization.
  10. Develop automated and documented scripts for data backup and retention on external storage.
  11. Implement change management procedures with version control.
  12. Resolve operating systems and application failures promptly.
  13. Report to the Head of Linux and Configuration Support and Senior Manager System support for approval and project prioritization.
  14. Solicit guidance from the Senior Linux and Configuration Administrator for complex tasks.
  15. Demonstrate in-depth technical expertise in operating systems to provide a solid foundation for system delivery, understanding network and systems architecture to mitigate disruptions and ensure smooth operations.
  16. Understand system internals, architecture, and limitations to inform problem-solving approaches that consider resource availability and time constraints.
  17. Analyze options carefully to ensure alignment with the organization's long-term vision and approved strategy.
  18. Maintain awareness of systems security in application and system software to enforce policies and safeguard software and data from unauthorized access or disruptions.
  19. Identify opportunities for personal growth and take action to enhance professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Expertise in maintaining and developing Linux infrastructure technology.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the financial sector with specialization in systems design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Training courses and certifications in operating systems, security, and applications support.
  • Experience with Weblogic Administration.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator.
