Job Description

As a Sales Manager at Al-Futtaim Group, you will be responsible for leading the sales functions across various markets, driving maximum profitability and growth in line with the company's vision and values. This role requires a strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to develop and implement business plans that achieve sales goals and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Commercial Strategy
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans that support sales objectives.
Financial Management
  • Manage operating costs related to the sales department to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Achieve sales budget and gross margin goals set by the store manager for Market Hall and Showroom.
  • Monitor sales forecasts and adapt them to actual sales to ensure optimal goods flow.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines and determine price schedules and discount rates.
Operational Excellence
  • Work with the Communication and Interior Design Team to plan and execute store merchandising presentations that align with the IKEA concept and guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor analysis to contribute to the future development of the IKEA business.
  • Collaborate with the Regional B2B Manager to support growth in the B2B market.
  • Direct the implementation of store activities and evaluate business and article performance.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure GPS and Range are relevant to the market.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Team to ensure sell-through of stock and manage slow-moving products.
Customer Satisfaction
  • Ensure customer satisfaction goals are met for areas under your responsibility (measured by IKEA Brand Capital and CSI).
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and provide excellent customer service.
