About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Construction Engineer to join our team at lxbfYeaa. As an Assistant Resident Engineer - Roads, you will play a key role in the administration of our road works projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Administration: Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing the day-to-day activities of our road works projects, including coordination with government departments, contractors, and consultants.
  2. Construction Supervision: Supervise the construction of road works and associated items, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
  3. Team Coordination: Coordinate your activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Design Review: Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  5. Issue Resolution: Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers to resolve related issues and ensure timely project completion.
  6. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project progress, handing-over, and final accounts.
  7. Safety and Quality: Ensure safety goals are achieved on the project and oversee the implementation of safety procedures, as well as ensure quality goals are achieved and quality procedures are implemented.
  8. Communication: Act as a liaison between the project team, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
Requirements
  1. Education: Degree in Civil Engineering with ten (10) years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of civil supervision on major road, highway, and general infrastructure projects.
  2. Experience: Emphasis on Quality Assurance Specifications and Statistical Quality Control, with a sound knowledge of contractual relationships and the ability to review and justify material submissions.
  3. Skills: Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, and utilize project-specific engineering and construction relevant software.
  4. Language: Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent written technical skills and oral and written communication skills.
