Job Summary

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Engineer to lead our piping engineering team and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the piping engineering team and ensure the successful completion of projects within the planned schedule and budget.
  2. Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of piping engineering execution, including scope, deliverables, schedule, and manpower resources.
  3. Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required actions to ensure project success.
  4. Review and approve piping engineering deliverables, including site plans, plot plans, 3D models, specifications, and procurement documents.
  5. Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations, and maintain a commitment to Worley's Purpose and Values.
  6. Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
  7. Take responsibility for personal safety and working within the Occupational Health & Safety procedures.
Requirements
  1. Demonstrate a strong commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment.
  2. Have thorough knowledge of regulations, codes, and standards, and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides/plant layout and piping design for oil and gas facilities.
  3. Have extensive current design experience in piping engineering, piping stress, pipe supports, topsides & onshore plant equipment layouts, and detailed piping design.
  4. Have extensive knowledge of piping materials to guide staff in the preparation of piping, valve, and SP item specifications.
  5. Have experience in greenfield, brownfields & asset services type project/contracts.
  6. Have excellent technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate, and timely work to Worley and its clients.
  7. Have excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the piping discipline and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
  8. Have excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  9. Be competent in the use of relevant piping discipline-specific software.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point.
  2. 3D Review Software: Navisworks, SPR.
Education and Experience
  1. Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  2. MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement.
  3. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same.
