Roles and responsibilities

Unix/Linux servers infrastructure administration and performing operational support activities (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, performance tuning)
Good technical knowledge and experience in maintenance, capacity planning, and monitoring of critical Storage Area Networking mainly DELL EMC Storage
Provide technical leadership in design, installation, configuration, and implementation of VMware and other virtualization products and services
Technical Leadership
Architecting Solutions: Design and guide the development of technical solutions that align with business goals and requirements. This involves creating software architecture, frameworks, and technical specifications.
Code Quality and Reviews: Ensure that all code is developed following best practices, coding standards, and guidelines. Lead code reviews to maintain high-quality code and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Hands-on Development: In addition to leadership duties, Technical Leads are often expected to contribute to the actual development process, writing code, troubleshooting, and solving technical challenges.
Research and Evaluation: Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends. Evaluate new technologies or tools and determine if they should be incorporated into the team's development process.
Team Leadership and Mentorship
Mentor and Coach: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers or team members. Help team members grow professionally by providing regular feedback, and offering opportunities for learning and development.
Technical Decision Making: Be the point of contact for all technical decisions. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to make important architectural and design decisions.
Foster Collaboration: Create an environment that encourages teamwork and open communication. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions align with the overall product strategy.
Project Management and Execution
Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to create detailed project plans, ensuring the technical team is aligned with project timelines and deliverables.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the project lifecycle. This could involve troubleshooting technical blockers, resolving dependencies, and ensuring that the team adheres to deadlines.
Agile Practices: Work within an Agile framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), ensuring the technical team delivers increments in a timely manner. Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as needed.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor Degree in IT or related course
Experienced in Linux Sun Solaris
Red Hat, RHCE and other Windows and UNIX platforms certified professional is a Preferable
Minimum of 5 years of experience Dell EMC, Oracle Storage and Storage Area Networks (SAN) for mission critical, enterprise applications and databases
8 years' experience with Linux Red Hat, RHCE and other Windows and UNIX platforms
Hands on experience with VMware technologies
Communication and Stakeholder Management
Technical Communication: Serve as the primary communicator for all technical matters, translating complex technical information into understandable language for stakeholders who may not have a technical background.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
Client/Customer Interaction: In client-facing organizations, a Technical Lead may interact with clients to understand their requirements and ensure the technical solution aligns with their needs.
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement
Testing and Debugging: Ensure the implementation of appropriate testing strategies (unit testing, integration testing, etc.). Help troubleshoot issues and ensure the solution is free of bugs.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in the development process, from writing code to the deployment pipeline. Introduce practices such as continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), code quality tools, and testing frameworks to improve efficiency.
Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of code, design decisions, and technical processes for future reference and for team knowledge sharing.
