Marine Technical Lead

**30956 - MARINE TECHNICAL LEAD**

At **Eni**, we are looking for a **Marine Technical Lead**within our Branch in **Qatar**. You will be responsible for supervising vessel-related technical, design and construction activities at Shipyard. You will also steward major technical initiatives that are highly visible and have multiple interfaces across Contractors and Company’s system, and present the findings, provide recommendations and secure the necessary approvals consistent with Company processes.

**As a member of the NFE Shipping Project team, you will be responsible for**:

- Supervising the technical team on all technical/machinery and marine engineering activities, in coordination with Shipyards and Ship Owner.
- Attending all scheduled plant fabrication, installation, testing, trials, commissioning and related inspections.
- Reviewing and approving marine mechanical engineering design, drawings and analysis work, and ensuring design is compliant with the contract, specification requirements, good engineering practice and Rules, Regulations and Standards.
- Inspection and overseeing pressure, NDE testing, processes.
- Working closely with Quality and Safety leads to ensure work is carried out safely, in accordance with quality requirements.
- Liaising with the shipyard and principal vendors on specific matters relating to relevant discipline engineering, planning, progress and technical queries.
- Tracking construction progress by reviewing shipyard schedule, and preparing reports for management as required.
- Monitoring recovery schedules from shipyard and vendors as required.
- Collaborating with the Site Manager on project engineering and technical needs, objectives, and requirements.
- Informing Site Manager of areas of concern in relation to technical issues, quality, safety and scheduled completion dates.
- Continuously engaging with key personnel and technical staff from the NFE Project team, Company and shareholders to ensure buy-in and support of all technical factors of the fleet expansion effort.
- Following and complying with Project Management System tailored for NFE Shipping project.

**This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree, Marine Engineering or Master’s degree, Naval Architecture.
- Extensive experience in oil and/or gas transportation within an integrated shipping/oil/gas company, including at least 3 years of technical experience at a senior level. Previous supervisory experience required.
- Safety conscious, promote and implement safety at work site.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Standards as they relate to the oil & gas industry and the marine environment.
- Strong marine technical and operational knowledge.
- Good management, leadership, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of gas/oil industry bodies, National and International maritime and shipping regulations is required.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, strong skills in report writing and presentations.
