**Position**: HSE Officer**Location**: —**Department**: Health, Safety & Environment**Reporting To**: HSE Manager / Project Manager**1. Job Purpose**

The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring that all safety rules and regulations are being followed on-site. This role aims to minimize risks, prevent accidents, and ensure a safe working environment by implementing and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and practices.

**2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Health & Safety Compliance**
- Implement and enforce company HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct routine site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards.
- Recommend corrective actions and follow up on closure of safety observations.

**B. Risk Management & Incident Control**
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessments, and Hazard Identification (HAZID).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports with root cause analysis.
- Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
- Ensure safe work permits (PTW) are properly implemented and adhered to.

**C. Training & Awareness**
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and specific safety training sessions to workers.
- Promote safety culture and awareness among employees at all levels.
- Maintain training records and ensure employee safety competency.

**D. Documentation & Reporting**
- Maintain accurate HSE documentation, including inspection records, incident logs, and safety reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly HSE reports for management and client review.
- Ensure MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) for chemicals are updated and accessible.

**E. PPE & Equipment Safety**
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all employees.
- Inspect PPE and safety equipment regularly; arrange replacements when required.
- Verify tools, machinery, and equipment meet safety standards.

**3. Qualifications & Skills RequiredEducation**:

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering / Safety / Environment (or equivalent).
- NEBOSH IGC or OSHA / IOSH certification preferred.

**Experience**:

- 2-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer (Gulf experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard control, and permit-to-work systems.

**Skills**:

- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to conduct safety audits and accident investigations.
- Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Strong observation and analytical skills.

**4. Additional Requirements**
- Ability to work in high-risk environments (construction, MEP, oil & gas, industrial sectors).
- Physically fit and able to conduct field inspections.
- Immediate joiners preferred (if required).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR5,500.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
