PRODUCTION

Primary purpose of job

Operates, controls and participates, as instructed by the Production Supervisor, in the process and utilities operational

areas to ensure safe and efficient start-up and shutdown of wells, common facilities and process trains, glycol regeneration

units, nitrogen generation units, instrument air compressors, chemical storage and injection packages, diesel centrifuges

and distribution system, waste heat exchangers, main power generators, electro-chlorination units, seawater systems,

cooling water system, utility water system, potable water system, produced water treatment unit, closed and open drains

system, sewage treatment unit, slop oil disposal system, firewater/foam and safety systems are in accordance with

authorised procedures and manufacturers' specifications. Required to work either in the CCR or in the outside operational

areas. Monitors and controls the process and utilities systems through the DCS consoles in the CCR, taking and directing

corrective action as required in the absence of the Production Supervisor. Also maintains production levels and quality as

directed. Fulfils function of Area Authority in designated operational areas, assigning area operators, reviewing/

checking/endorsing Maintenance work permits, checking stock levels and ensuring that the corporation safety rules and

regulations are adhered to.

Experience & Skills

**Experience**:
At least 6 years experience in oil and gas production process, preferably at offshore locations.

**Skills**:
Exercises discretion in deciding how to carry out work or to deal with abnormal or emergency situations requiring

immediate action in the absence of the Supervisor. Work is mainly varied and carried out according to established

procedures and hydrocarbon industry standards. Completed work is spot-checked on an infrequent basis by the

Supervisor. Incumbent will be required to carry out job-related special projects by the Production Supervisor.

Education

Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, followed by at least 2 years general mechanical/instrument training at a

recognised institute. City and Guilds - Final.

Good knowledge of English.

Thorough working knowledge of the platform's DCS.

Thorough working knowledge of ICS/Autronica F&G panels.

Understands platform ESD and F&G cause and effects.

Familiar with safety and survival systems throughout the platform.
