JobOpenings – Qatar Sr. Dock Worker (Shipwright) Job Location: Qatar Duty Hours: 8 Hours per day Age Limit: Below 40 Years Gender: Male Only Muslim Candidate No. Position – 5 Duty Hours: Standard Eight (08) Hours /26 days Salary: QAR 1,800 per month Job Overview:The Sr. Dock Worker (ShipwrightDepartment) will be responsible for supervising and executing dockoperations, including vessel docking, undocking, and maintenance support withinthe shipyard. The role requires hands -on marine experience, coordinationskills, and a strong understanding of shipwright procedures to ensure safe andefficient dock operations.Job Role& Responsibilities:· Supervise and carry out daily dock operations,including docking and undocking of vessels.· Assist in positioning vessels safely in drydocks or slipways.· Coordinate with dock engineers and supervisorsto plan and execute work schedules.· Inspect and maintain dock structures, fittings,and equipment for operational readiness.· Guide and lead dock laborers in cleaning,maintenance, and repair activities.· Handle ropes, chains, blocks, and other riggingtools used in docking operations.· Ensure all safety precautions are followedduring lifting, moving, or securing vessels.· Support shipwright and maintenance teams duringvessel repair and construction works.· Report any equipment malfunction or safetyhazard to supervisors immediately.· Maintain a clean and safe working environmentwithin the dock area. RequirementsQualifications & Experience:· Education: High School / ITI / Diploma orequivalent.· Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in dock orshipyard operations.· Must have strong marine experience, preferablyin shipwright or dry -dock environments.· Gulf or overseas shipyard experience preferred.RequiredSkills:· In -depth understanding of docking, undocking,and marine handling procedures.· Strong leadership and supervision abilities.· Knowledge of shipyard tools, lifting equipment,and rigging methods.· Ability to read and follow work instructions andsafety procedures.· Excellent coordination and communication skills.· Physically fit and able to work in a demandingmarine environment.· Commitment to maintaining high safety andquality standards.
