Lifting Supervisor

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate lifting activities to ensure compliance with **O&G industry standards** and **Qatar regulations**.
- Conduct pre-lift assessments, risk evaluations, and safety checks.
- Ensure all lifting equipment is properly certified and maintained.
- Work closely with rigging crews, crane operators, and safety officers to execute safe lifting operations.
- Enforce strict adherence to **HSE policies** to prevent incidents and ensure workplace safety.
- Maintain records of lifting plans, inspections, and incident reports.
- **Lift Planning and Execution**:

- Develop and implement detailed lift plans in line with project requirements and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of lifting operations.
- Ensure all lifts are performed within the rated capacity of equipment and follow approved procedures.
- **Supervision of Lifting Operations**:

- Direct and monitor all lifting activities on-site, ensuring compliance with approved lift plans.
- Supervise riggers, crane operators, and other lifting personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Inspect and approve rigging setups before initiating any lifting activity.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to Qatar's local safety regulations, company policies, and international standards such as LOLER, OSHA, and API RP 2D.
- Conduct pre-lift safety meetings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Investigate and report any incidents or near misses during lifting operations.
- **Equipment Management**:

- Verify the certification, maintenance, and operational readiness of all lifting equipment and accessories.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and equipment usage logs.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for timely servicing of lifting equipment.
- **Training and Leadership**:

- Lead and mentor lifting crews to ensure a high standard of skill and safety awareness.
- Identify training needs and ensure that all personnel are certified and competent for their roles.

**Requirements**:

- **Valid Lifting Supervisor certification** (e.g., LOLER, OPITO, or equivalent).
- **Minimum 5 years of experience** in lifting operations within the oil & gas industry.
- **Previous experience in Ras Laffan, Qatar, is highly preferred.**:

- **Valid Ras Laffan Gate Pass** holders will be given preference.
- Strong knowledge of **Qatar’s safety regulations and lifting standards**.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lifting Supervisor in the oil & gas or heavy industrial sector.
- Certified Lifting Supervisor (LEEA, LOLER, or equivalent certification is mandatory).
- Knowledge of crane operations, rigging techniques, and lifting safety standards.
- Familiarity with Qatar’s local regulations and Ras Laffan Industrial City safety protocols is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.

**Work Conditions**:

- On-site role in Ras Laffan, Qatar, requiring extensive interaction with lifting teams and project stakeholders.
- Exposure to challenging outdoor conditions, heavy machinery, and high-risk environments.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and shifts as required by project timelines.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Civil Construction Sector: 5 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English, Urdu, Hindi (preferred)
