About the Role

Qatar Aviation Services Cargo is currently recruiting for Cargo Dangerous Goods Agent positions.

The role will be responsible for the safe handling of Dangerous Goods on all airlines operating to and from Doha with adherence to IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to perform complete checks on all inbound documentation against the Dangerous Goods Regulation and Airline requirements for compliance.
- Responsible to update appropriate IRR’s (irregularity) and notify or follow up with respective stations for resolving the observed discrepancies.
- Coordinates with Revenue Management (RM) to hold the DG shipment with irregularity and updates RM on a timely manner to rebook the shipment once irregularity has been resolved.
- Responsible to perform 360-degree checks for markings and labels on DG shipments whilst storing or dispatching from the DG dashboard for the timely completion of Checklist Capture.
- Monitors the DG dashboard for the timely completion of Checklist Capture.
- Responsible to performing random checks on DG rooms to ensure scanning compliance and segregation of the shipments.
- Performs any operational activity which falls under the category of Dangerous Goods operations as per current QAS Cargo Work Instructions, Procedure compliance Instructions (PCI) and Temporary Operating Instructions (TOI).
- Relocates temperature sensitive Dangerous Goods cargo and radioactive shipments to appropriate storage system.
- Responsible to measure radiation levels for all radioactive material shipments and inform the supervisors if any deviation in radiation levels are detected.
- Ensure to maintain proper housekeeping of Dangerous Foods Rooms at all times.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of Department.

**Qualifications**:
About you
- Essential
- High School Qualification with minimum 1 year of job-related experience or Bachelors Degree or equivalent with no prior job-related work experience.
- Good Knowledge of Dangerous Goods Regulations - Category 8.
- Has work experience handling Dangerous Goods Cargo.
- Excellent knowledge of Computer systems including Microsoft Office.
- Preferred
- Ideally has fire training course certificate
- Good command of English language
