We are in the process of strengthening our Technical and Quality team, and we are therefore looking for 4 QA Technicians to join the business.

Reporting into the Quality Assurance Manager the QA Technician will be responsible for a broad range of duties to ensure our products meet all technical standards and comply with all regulations in order for our products to be fit for consumers.

Pets Choice is a leading FMCG Branded and Own Label Pet Food Manufacturer with offices and manufacturing sites based in Blackburn.

We distribute to all major Grocery, Wholesale and Pet Specialist retailers.

Our food brands include: Webbox, Meatiful, WildThings, Feathers & Beaky and Spikes.

**Role**:
Your role will be based within a food manufacturing environment and you will be responsible duties such as:

- Internal auditing
- Control of non conforming product
- Food safety controls
- Complaint investigations
- Corrective and preventative actions
- Investigations into food safety incidents
- Labelling and packing controls
- PPE controls
- Segregation
- Product traceability
- Product release and positive release
- Root cause analysis
- Cross contamination and allergen controls
- Implementation of process controls
- Recipe controls

**Key attributes and skills**:
We require the following skills:

- Attention to detail
- Good IT skills
- Previous experience of auditing, traceability and temperature controls is ideal
- Good communication skills, must be fluent English speaking, reading and writing
