This role is crucial in ensuring the financial and operational success of our projects by accurately forecasting the costs, resources, and time required to complete them.

**Role Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
- Perform risk analysis on potential projects to determine financial feasibility and potential impact on company objectives.
- Prepare detailed reports, highlighting the scope of work, methodology, and assumptions used in the estimates.
- Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to understand project requirements and adjust estimates accordingly.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, costs, and practices to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to gather cost information and negotiate pricing when necessary.
- Support the bid process by preparing cost summaries for internal decision-making and proposal submissions.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the civil engineering or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation is a plus.
