Job Description:
**Job Title**: 6G Welder
**Reports to**: Production Manager / Workshop Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

- **Welding**:

- Perform welding operations using a variety of techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding.
- Select appropriate welding equipment and materials for the job.
- Ensure welds are structurally sound and meet project specifications.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and overall quality.
- **Preparation and Finishing**:

- Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Perform post-weld finishing operations such as grinding, sanding, and polishing to ensure smooth edges and surfaces.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect completed work to ensure conformance with specifications and standards.
- Conduct tests on welds to verify strength and durability.
- Identify and correct welding defects such as cracks, porosity, or undercuts.
- **Maintenance and Repair**:

- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform regular maintenance of fabrication tools and machinery.
- Repair damaged or worn metal components using welding and fabrication techniques.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, gloves, and protective clothing.
- Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Ensure the safe handling and storage of welding materials and gases.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of welding operations, including time, materials used, and work completed.
- Report any issues or challenges encountered during fabrication or welding to the supervisor.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship or welding program is a plus.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as a welder fabricator.
- **Certification**: Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent is preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Arc, and Stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and various metal properties.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures in a welding environment.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and outdoor environments.
- Ability to lift and move heavy metal objects and equipment.

Work Environment:

- Industrial settings such as workshops, factories, and construction sites.
- Exposure to high noise levels, heat, and hazardous conditions, requiring PPE at all times.

The Welder Fabricator plays a key role in manufacturing and construction, ensuring that metal components are built to exact specifications and high-quality standards. Attention to detail, technical skill, and adherence to safety regulations are essential in this role.

Pay: QAR1,600.00 - QAR1,800.00 per month
