The **Human Resources Generalist**facilitates the development, implementation and administration of HR policies, processes and practices. Assists with the administration and maintenance of the company’s benefit program. This role is also responsible for benefit administration, time and attendance, performance and compensation management, employee relations, recruitment, training and development; and serves as a liaison to managers and employees regarding Human Resources and employee relations issues. This role is an on-site position.
**POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assists with full cycle employment activities including recruitment, selection, on-boarding, employee training and development, and termination activities.
- Manages the daily activities associated with the maintenance of personnel records within the HRIS, administration of employee benefits, time and attendance and payroll. Also assists in the administration of leaves and holidays.
- Understands employment laws applicable to all MSI international business operations. Maintains personnel policies and procedures that comply with the laws and are consistent with corporate values. Monitors employees’ compliance to these policies.
- Serves as a resource for management in areas such as team and process improvement, organizational evaluation, performance management strategies and coaching.
- Leads HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries, and corrective actions.
- Co-leads annual benefit and insurance renewal process alongside HR and external benefit brokers, sharing insight on employee feedback gathered throughout the year to determine the ideal plan design and set-up for our employee-base and company needs.
- Ensures annual performance management and compensation process is executed and adhered to. Oversees completion and timeliness of performance appraisals by employees and management.
- Serves as a liaison for management, supervisors and employees regarding HR issues and employee relations. Gains the trust and respect of management and staff by maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Supports with talent development - reskilling, upskilling and talent planning.
- Assists in the preparation of immigration and visa processing documents as needed.
- Leads employee engagement initiatives and event planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field. In lieu of education, equivalent related experience acceptable.
- 2+ years of experience HR, preferably in a global manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of local Qatar labor laws required, knowledge of labor laws in Singapore, the Philippines, Korea and Europe a plus.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding in Microsoft Programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI software a plus.
- Strategic mindset which includes: focusing on quality; thinking strategically; acting analytically; adapting quickly; and challenging status quo to achieve business results.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage many projects and tasks at once.
- High degree of integrity, trust and discretion.
- Ability to handle sensitive, highly confidential information with a professional manner.
- Travel Requirements - 15% of the time.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT**:
There is a mínimal risk of injury. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. May require some additional hours. Business travel may be required on an as needed basis. Consistent and regular attendance required.
