**Job Title**: Port Container Handling Technicians

**Location**: Qatar

**Job Purpose (English)**:
To provide support to the supervisor in relation the repairs and maintenance services for the equipments to ensure that business activities are running smoothly.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the maintenance, breakdown services and or remedial works of container handling cranes are maintained in a cost-effective manner, with consideration given to workmanship quality job.
- Provide maintenance and breakdown service for container handling and all port related equipments to ensure all port equipment are running.
- Assume additional responsibility for maintenance in the absence of the Supervisor to ensure all activities pertaining to the department are running smoothly at all times.
- Support team of electricians in fault finding and troubleshooting all container handling equipment in the port as and when required and that appropriate repairs take place to ensure proper and safe functioning of these equipment.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment and components as when required.
- Provide reliable service to Operations Department, ensuring the required equipment availability and reliability so that the operations team are able to effectively complete their tasks.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma with relevant vocational/technical qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.

**Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical)**:

- Good working knowledge of Terminal maintenance practices and principles.
- Good knowledge of support equipment and cranes is required.
- Experience on hydraulics and engine.
- Technical knowledge of maintenance and repair of Ship to Shore Cranes, Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes and Spreaders, and other Container Terminal handling equipment in general.
- Advance decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (preferred).
- Ability to work with key stakeholders and external partners/advisors through collaboration and teamwork in a non-hierarchical relationship framework.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding organizing and planning skills.
- Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.

**Salary**: QAR1,600.00 - QAR1,800.00 per month
