a. To perform inspection of food establishments within boundaries of Qatar in the fields which he is assigned within the scope of his/her expertise.

b. To implement the relevant laws and regulations in a confidential, independent, impartial, and transparent manner.

c. To perform documented food inspection including food handlers and places where food is being handled during any time of the duty hours or even after duty hours in case of suspicious food handling practices.

d. To verify the documents and records of the food establishments and places where food is being handled and keep copies of these documents if required.

e. To perform inspection within Food Safety Rules, Qatar Laws and ISO 17020 to prevent the production and/or service of products that are not suitable for consumption into the country.

f. To inform Supervisor immediately for notification to Head of section about enforcement actions for public health, if any major and / or critical non-conformities are detected during the inspection and there is a risk at the point of human consumption.

g. To record required documents as reporting to Supervisor.

h. To follow all developments in food sector such as new food technology, food legislation, standards, and operational criteria.

i. To conduct any other scientific or technical tasks assigned to him in the field of work

j. To perform other related duties to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
