Primary purpose of job

The safe and efficient operation of the NF-A Offshore Production Complex is vested in the Gas Production Department who

has assigned this responsibility to the Offshore Installation Superintendent (OIS). The OIS is held accountable for the

overall operation of the plant and ensures all activities are conducted with due regard for operational priorities and the

safety of personnel and equipment. In this area and in the area of overall discipline this gives the OIS a managerial

responsibility over all personnel working on the facility irrespective of their departmental reporting relationships.

Plans, co-ordinates and controls the safe and efficient production of gas and condensate from the NF-A facility, ensures

production quotas and specifications are adhered to. Co-ordinates maintenance and shutdown requirements to allow

maintenance, construction and project work to continue efficiently without jeopardizing production requirements. Assists in

developing the capital and operating budget and monitors expenditure. Ensures all work is carried out in accordance with

the Corporation's safety rules and regulations.

Experience & Skills

**Experience**:
15 years broad process/production background, with 4 years at a supervisory level.

**Skills**:

- Works within the framework of Corporation policies, petroleum industry standards and approved operating procedures.

Designing working methods to comply with these to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the North Field Gas

Production Complex. Exercises a high degree of discretion in deciding work priorities and uses initiative to resolve technical

and administrative problems. Keeps Head of Operations informed of work activities by regular and exceptional reporting as

required.
- Exposed to prevailing weather conditions and noise and vibrations when carrying out inspection tours. On 24 hour call for

all safety, production/maintenance and integrity of the installation related matters.
