**About the role**

As a Senior Manager Cargo Aviation Economist, you will lead the economic analysis function to support strategic decision-making and revenue optimization for the largest cargo airline. This role requires a deep understanding of global economic trends, market conditions, and their impact on the cargo aviation industry. You will drive the development of economic models and insights that enhance the airline's competitiveness and profitability.

As part of your role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

- Lead the development of economic models and forecasts to inform long-term strategic planning and revenue management initiatives.
- Provide expert analysis and insights on global economic conditions, trade patterns, and market trends affecting the cargo aviation industry.
- Advise senior leadership on economic opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align economic forecasts with business objectives and optimize revenue strategies.
- Serve as a thought leader within the organization on economic matters, providing guidance and direction to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Represent the airline at industry forums, conferences, and meetings, sharing economic perspective and gathering intelligence on market developments.
- Drive innovation in economic analysis by implementing best practices and staying informed on the latest trends and tools in the field.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**
- Master's Degree in Economics or equivalent with minimum 10+ years of job-related experience
- Good knowledge of the cargo and aviation industries
- Hands-on experience in demand forecasting
- Proven experience in leading development of economic models and forecasts to inform long-term strategic planning and revenue management initiatives
- Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to lead cross functional and multi-cultural teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders
