**Telecom Support Technician**

**Job Description**:

- Carry on day-to-day activities related to Telecom and network including the daily systems check lists. Ability to do the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance for both the main centralized equipment and the field equipment. Ability to do installation for telecom devices and networking in safe and classified areas.
- Able to read the system operation and maintenance manuals and have good technical skills to do troubleshooting and diagnostics, Ability to read the instrumentation, Electrical drawings and data sheets. Able work with minimum supervision. Able to repair / replace faulty OR damaged

equipment.
- Experience in Voice and Data installation, Inspection of Cat 5, 6 cables and fiber cables.

Experience in Fiber modules and cable troubleshooting by using different fiber cables test modules and equipment.

Assists in daily operation of IT Telecom tasks, which includes, but is not limited to: resolving service requests through hands-on work on Access Control System, Networking and Telecommunication systems, and all other associated computer/networking peripherals and

software.

Perform special projects and related work as and when required pertaining to network and

telecommunications systems.
- Respond and Resolve on allocated IS Helpdesk Service Request tickets.
- Provide first line support to end-users on the issues quickly.
- Respond to and deal with technical queries.
- Stay updated with latest system information, changes, and updates.
- Perform special projects and related work as and when required.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

- Must have excellent network, telecoms and access control system experience with excellent

communication skills.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Networking and Telecommunication systems in Petrochemical industry/Plants.
- Must be willing to travel between all the plant locations as and

when required.
- Must be customer oriented and should have hands on experience of supporting business users
- Must have experience in working on any helpdesk ticketing solution.
- Good knowledge of IT security, controls & Network infrastructure, with some IT planning

experience.
- Certifications like MCSE, MCITP, MCM, MCSM, CCNA, etc., would be added value.

**Salary**: From QAR5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
