Ts Systems Engineer

About your Job:
As part of QRIT TS team, we are looking for TS Systems Engineer responsible to provide structured cabling support (Copper and Fiber), assessment and support work for all QR IT Technology Services Projects.

Moreover, you must administer and organize all types of TS projects, from simple activities to more complex plans.

Responsibilities include preparation of comprehensive project’s action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like schedule and risk management, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and handling financial queries.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support structured cabling (copper and Fiber) deployed across the Qatar Airways network.- Required to fix cabling errors and rectifying them.- Installing cables, trunking and conduits, testing and terminating cables, patching panels, solving issues related to cables and finding cabling errors.- Data cable pulling and responsible for assisting IT teams to design and set out of complex cable plans for COMMS, CCTV systems and wireless access points, including the lay out structures for equipment installations as well as expansions for existing data systems.- Splicing and testing of optical fibres to the end customer premises.- Operating fibre splicer machines/kit including the installation of optical fibre cable, bundles and blown fibre tubing using fibre blowing equipment, complete works in line with time and quality standards, and the recording of results ensuring all are correctly documented.- Coordinate with various stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, timeframes, resources, procurement, action plans and budget.- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports; Coordinate project calendar, assets, people and information.- Liaise with external suppliers and internal teams involved in projects to meet the business requirements- Ensure IT process and procedures are followed in line with all established corporate IT policies.

About you:
Required:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree.- Minimum 4-5 years of job-relevant experience required in IT.- Expert Level in MS Excel, ITILv3 Foundation- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Planner.- Strong experience and deep understanding of Risk Management principles.- Be available round the clock on-call support to ensure 24x7 smoot operations of IT systems.

Preferred:
- Degree in computer Engineering or Computer Science.- Problem solving & investigation skills and ability to work under pressure.- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks concurrently with strong written and verbal communication and confident in communicating and reporting at senior management level.
