Spa Receptionist

**About the role**

As Qatar Duty Free Spa Receptionist** **To take care of guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure, providing guests with an exceptional level of service. To ensure enquiries are answered, reservations are recorded correctly and payments are completed in accordance with the spa’s procedures and protocols.

**Operational **
- Create a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere.
- Assist guests with questions regarding spa services and products; and provide detailed descriptions of spa treatments and services.
- Promote and upsell all activities, products and services that are offered within the spa. Encourage sales through full product and price knowledge of offered and available facilities
- Record reservations and manage the appointment schedule, conduct confirmation calls, conduct check-in, check-out and payment procedures. Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments.
- Conduct retail sales procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding guest information, and manage client profiles.
- Ensure the reception area is clean and presentable at all times.
- Maintain a clean, fully stocked and well organised work area. Ensure materials e.g. towels, newspapers, magazines and advertising material is readily available.
- Prepare daily reports in terms of number of treatments performed, no-shows, cancellations, etc.
- Ensure check-in and payment is handled according to company policy.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
- Communicate with management any occurrences involving guests in the spa that require attention.
- Accomplish concise handover in order to relay key information to the Spa Attendant/ Spa Receptionist who is in charge of the next shift.
- Reference and abide by the spa’s Operating Procedures and policy manuals.

Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

**Qualifications**:
**Qualifications and Experience**:

- High School Qualification with Minimum 1 year of job-related experience

**OR**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with No prior job-related work experience

**OR**

**Qatari Nationals**:

- Not applicable

Essential
- High school diploma
- Relevant experience, especially in luxury spa or hospitality

Preferred
- College degree in hospitality or business is an advantage
- Sales and/or customer service training is an advantage

**Job Specific Skills**:

- Excellent knowledge of luxury service standards
- Articulate verbal and written communication
- Proficient computer skills
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
- Ability to focus on guest service, remaining calm and patient at all times
- Team spirit
- Attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to be efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work on a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Preferred

Knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage
