Consol Group is seeking an experienced **Senior Architectural Engineer.** This role is critical in the successful execution of complex architectural projects, blending technical expertise, leadership, and creativity to deliver projects that are structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally sustainable.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design and Planning**:

- Lead the design development process for architectural projects, ensuring that designs align with client requirements, budgets, and timelines.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate engineering principles into architectural designs.
- Prepare, review, and approve design proposals, drawings, and specifications to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with building codes and standards.
- **Project Management**:

- Oversee multiple architectural projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure all project requirements are met.
- Manage project documentation, ensuring that all design modifications, approvals, and changes are properly documented and communicated.
- Track project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management and clients.
- **Technical Leadership**:

- Provide technical expertise in architectural engineering, including structural integrity, environmental sustainability, materials, and energy-efficient design.
- Review and approve detailed engineering calculations and technical designs related to building systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP).
- Identify and address complex design challenges, offering innovative solutions to problems that arise during the design and construction phases.
- **Quality Control and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all designs and project activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, zoning laws, and environmental guidelines.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that work is being carried out according to approved plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that the finished project meets all safety, sustainability, and functional requirements.
- **Client Liaison and Consultation**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering advice, addressing concerns, and presenting project updates.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- Present design proposals, project plans, and progress reports to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- **Collaboration and Coordination**:

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to integrate various aspects of design and construction.
- Facilitate communication and ensure that all team members are aligned on project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids to select contractors and suppliers.
- **Sustainability and Innovation**:

- Incorporate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient systems into architectural plans to reduce the environmental impact of buildings.
- Advise clients on green building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) and sustainable design strategies.
- **Budget and Cost Management**:

- Assist in the development of project budgets, ensuring that design and construction costs remain within the approved budget.
- Evaluate cost estimates, negotiate contracts, and manage project financials throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Monitor and report on project expenditures to ensure cost control and prevent overruns.
- **Team Leadership and Development**:

- Mentor and guide junior architects and engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional growth.
- Lead and supervise design teams, ensuring a high standard of work and encouraging collaboration and innovation.
- Review and approve technical work produced by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and quality.

- **Education**:

- A degree in **Architectural Engineering**, **Civil Engineering**, or a related field (Master’s degree is often preferred).
- Professional licensure (e.g., registered architect or chartered engineer) is typically required.
- **Experience**:

- At least 5-10 years of experience in architectural engineering or a related field, with a significant portion spent in senior roles overseeing complex projects.
- Experience in both design and construction phases, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
