Environmental Engineer

**Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Environmental Engineer **to join our team In this role you will get to determines solutions for civil/environmental engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives. **:**What You'll Be Doing**
- **Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.**:

- **Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations.**:

- **Prepares material/equipment specifications; reviews supplier data;**:

- **witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.**:

- **Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O&M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.**:

- **Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.**
**Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.**:

- **May assist with other administrative and technical duties.**:

- **Review, comment/ recommend acceptance or otherwise of related contractors'/ and their consultant submissions.**:

- **Liaise with utilities providers and other internal and external stake holders.**:

- **Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.**:

- **E **nsure compliance with sound environmental practice and environmental permit conditions.**:

- **Mitigate environmental concerns such as contaminated soil or ground and surface water; and archeological findings or impacts to cultural resources.**:

- **Managing the environmental permit processes such as storm water, ground water discharge permits.**:

- **Reviewing the data and contributing to the preparation of various environmental reports that are submitted to the client and regulatory agencies, including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).**:

- **Support construction teams in minimizing impact of soil contamination or construction activities (dust control, construction water disposal, etc.).**:

- **Executing environmental strategies in a fiscally responsible manner to assure compliance with Qatar MoECC regulations, schedule performance, and community safety.**:
**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- **BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.**:

- **Min of 10 postgraduate years of experience and a min. of 7 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure projects.**:

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**:

- **Ability to communicate in English professionally and effectively both orally and in writing**:

- **Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Professional, office automation products, and creating and manipulating environmental databases**:

- **Experience working in the Gulf region is required.**:
