**Primary purpose of job**
The purpose of the Senior Cloud Engineer role is to design and deploy robust and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions

using platforms like Azure and Google Cloud, ensuring deployment best-practices are followed and maintained. The senior

cloud engineer will be part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team and will work closely with the cloud architects

and wider stakeholders within the ICT department to provide guidance on cloud deployment designs and engineering. This

role will be a hands-on role leading the technical cloud discussions, creating configuration change, and improving the

current technical and professional standards of QatarEnergy’s cloud environment

**Experience & Skills**:

- 10+ years of IT experience in a large multinational company.
- 5+ years hands-on experience in working on cloud platforms like Azure and GCP as a cloud administrator.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure troubleshooting, operation management and cloud resources optimization.
- 5+ years of experience in transitioning & migrating legacy workloads from on-premises to cloud native technologies in

regulated environments.
- 3+ years of experience in containerization platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, and RedHat OpenShift (RHOS).

and automation tasks.
- Strong experience with designing and managing DevOps/CICD/SDLC tools including Azure DevOps, BitBucket, Jenkins,

Nexus etc.
- Cloud solutions design and architecture experience & background is highly desirable.
- Work with QatarEnergy cloud architecture team in the design, implementation, and secure operation of cloud-based

solutions.
- Strong collaboration & communication skills to clearly convey ideas, instructions, and feedback to several team members.
- Be equipped with team spirit and promote a culture of shared knowledge within the CCoE team and the wider ICT

community.
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science from a reputable institution.
- Engineering & administration certification from leading cloud service providers such as Microsoft and Google.
