**Job Summary**:
The Mason is responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures made of brick, block, stone, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of masonry techniques, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and materials to ensure high-quality workmanship.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Construction**: Build walls, chimneys, and other structures using bricks, blocks, and stones according to blueprints and specifications.
- **Repair**: Inspect and repair existing masonry structures, including repointing, patching, and replacing damaged materials.
- **Mixing Materials**: Prepare and mix mortar and other materials according to specified ratios and guidelines.
- **Tool Operation**: Operate hand tools and masonry equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance of tools.
- **Measurements**: Measure and cut materials to precise dimensions, ensuring accuracy in alignment and level.
- **Collaboration**: Work alongside other construction trades, such as carpenters and laborers, to ensure seamless project completion.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- **Project Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
