At our Café we work together in a modern, warm and friendly atmosphere to produce a variety of quality products. The primary goal of the opening position is to maintain high product standards that contribute to the overall guest experience and build memorable team bonds through teamwork.

We are currently seeking an experienced Barista. The role will involve sharing your knowledge and passion of coffee with our clients, providing them with an experience that aligns with our amazing collections and contributing to the overall experience. To be considered for this role, you will have experience working as a barista and have a demonstrable knowledge of various drinks hot and cold.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Barista who understand speciality coffee; and can make smoothies, Juices and mocktails.
- Latte Art Expert/ Coffee Artists
- Prepare and serve great drinks
- Excellent knowledge of coffees, their origins, their flavours, notes and aromas, along with the various methods of brewing, preparation and presentation.
- Preparing and serving speciality coffee, different kinds of coffees, teas, cold and hot beverages
- Responsible in manually preparing speciality coffees like Syphon Coffee ,Chemex Coffee, V 60, Cold Brew etc
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, utensils and equipment etc
- Grinding coffee beans, ensuring normal acidity level without burning beans and preparing and serving light food and snacks.
- Taking orders and processing bill and payment and assist the floor team with deliveries as required
- Keeping track of inventory and creating stock displays
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Requirements
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Basic math skills
- Ability to gauge customers' preferences
- Excellent communication skills
- Applicant should have worked for known coffee houses and be able to handle large orders. Previous work experience as a Barista, and know how to make cappuccino, latte macchiato, mocha, espresso, ect...
- At least 2yrs experience in Coffee Shop; waiter: 1 year (preferred).
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus.
