Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.

**Job Purpose**:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hygiene Officer to join our team and help uphold the required cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular and thorough inspections of all hotel areas, including guest rooms, kitchens, dining areas, restrooms, and public spaces, ensuring they meet hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Develop, implement, and enforce hygiene policies, procedures, and schedules in line with both local health regulations and international standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including monitoring kitchen cleanliness, storage areas, and staff hygiene practices.
- Oversee the safe handling and proper storage of cleaning materials and chemicals, ensuring staff follow safety protocols.
- Provide training and ongoing education to hotel staff on hygiene practices, including the correct use of cleaning equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Coordinate with suppliers to maintain an adequate stock of hygiene and cleaning materials.
- Review and maintain hygiene and cleaning reports and audit documentation.
- Handle guest feedback regarding cleanliness or hygiene and take immediate corrective actions.
- Keep abreast of local health and safety regulations and adjust hotel policies accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation for any audits or health inspections and ensure the hotel consistently passes all evaluations.

**Qualifications & Competencies**:

- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel environment within the Middle East.
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols.
- Understanding of the local health and safety laws and regulations in the Middle East.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A certification in food safety, sanitation, or related field is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the cultural and regulatory standards of hygiene and safety within the region.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages such as Arabic are a plus.
