**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Establish a Funded Research Program**
- Develop and secure extramural funding for research initiatives focused on metabolic diseases.
- ** Develop Transitional Research Tools**
- Create innovative tools and methodologies applicable to cancer research, with potential translational overlap in metabolic diseases.
- ** In Vivo Studies & Training**
- Conduct in vivo studies that support research and training programs in metabolic diseases.
- ** Ex Vivo & Molecular Analysis**
- Perform detailed ex vivo analytical and molecular analyses to advance research outcomes.
- ** Teach Graduate Courses**
- ** Supervise Graduate Students**
- Supervise or co-supervise graduate students, guiding their research projects and theses.
- ** Publish in High-Impact Journals**
- Disseminate research findings through publications in reputable scientific journals.
- ** Foster Collaborative Research**
- Establish a collaborative research environment by engaging with various QU research centers and colleges, as well as external institutions in Qatar (e.g., Sidra, HMC).
- ** Strategic Research Planning**
- Develop and implement a research plan to enhance LARC/QU research outcomes in metabolic diseases.
- ** Committee & Community Support**
- Provide support and expertise to LARC, VPRGS, and QU committees, and contribute to community service initiatives.
- ** Develop Training Programs**:

- Create and lead training programs for students, including hands-on lab techniques and experimental design.
- ** Additional Responsibilities**:

- Undertake other tasks as necessary to fulfill the center’s mission and objectives.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education and Certifications**
- Ph.D. in Biology, Physiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related field
- Proven record of regular publication in medium to high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the organization
- Strong experience in writing research proposals and securing research funding
- Experience in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as thesis supervision

**Languages**
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English (verbal and written) is required.

**Academic**:
1. A three-year renewable contract.

2. Salary is commensurate with experience.

3. Tax-free salary.
