**Job Title: Testing & Maintenance Engineer - Electrical (Onshore)**

**Location**: Qatar

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform testing, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems including Transformers, MV/LV Switchboards, A/C, UPS, and DC UPS.
- Supervise cable tray installation, LV/MV/HV cable laying & termination, and grounding systems (underground & above ground).
- Conduct onshore technical work such as relay/breaker testing, equipment function testing, and material inspection at workshops or designated company locations.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, datasheets, specifications, and test reports.
- Ensure compliance with international electrical standards and company quality procedures.
- Carry out testing of relays/control panels, microprocessor & solid-state relays through primary and secondary injection testing.
- Perform studies and setting calculations for Siemens, GE, and ABB protection relays.
- Conduct transformer testing (SFRA, Tan Delta, Vector Group, etc.) and CT/VT testing using OMICRON and other advanced test instruments.
- Execute high-voltage testing of MV/HV cables, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and energization tests.
- Develop maintenance strategies for offshore electrical systems and support maintenance activities.
- Verify MTOs as per project drawings and prepare technical documentation, work packs, and progress reports.
- Support project management functions including planning, coordination, and progress monitoring.

**Required Qualifications & Experience**
- **Education**: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
- **Experience**: Minimum **8-10 years** in testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems in petrochemical/refinery/oil & gas industries.
- Hands-on experience with test equipment such as CMC-256, Freja 549, CPC-100, Power Analyzer, IR Tester, VIDAR, PD Tan Delta, VLF & HV Hipot Kits.
- Proficient in project documentation, quality assurance, and electrical standards compliance.
- Excellent command of **English** (verbal & written).
- Physically fit and willing to work offshore if required.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- **COMPEX Certification** and/or **UPDA Grade-A** certification.
