**Job Description: Façade Cleaning Technician (IRATA Level 1)** **Job Title**: Façade Cleaning Technician (IRATA Level 1) **Department**: Rope Access / Building Maintenance **Reports To**: IRATA Level 3 Supervisor / Operations Manager **Location**: [Specify Location or "Site-Based"] **Employment Type**: Full-Time / Permanent **Job Summary**: The **Façade Cleaning Technician (IRATA Level 1)** is responsible for performing high-rise façade cleaning and maintenance tasks under the supervision of an IRATA Level 3 Supervisor. This role involves working at heights using rope access techniques while adhering to strict safety protocols. The technician must follow instructions carefully, maintain equipment, and ensure high-quality cleaning results. **Key Responsibilities:1. Rope Access & Façade Cleaning**: - Perform abseiling (rope access) for exterior building cleaning, including window washing, pressure washing, and surface treatments. - Operate cleaning equipment such as water-fed poles, squeegees, and chemical applicators. - Follow work instructions from the IRATA Level 3 Supervisor. **2. Safety & Compliance**: - Adhere to IRATA safety standards, company policies, and site-specific risk assessments. - Inspect personal and team rope access equipment before each use. - Participate in emergency drills and rescue training as required. - Report any hazards, equipment defects, or incidents immediately. **3. Team Support & Communication**: - Work collaboratively with other rope access technicians under supervision. - Attend daily toolbox talks and safety briefings. - Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding work progress and challenges. **4. Equipment Maintenance**: - Clean, inspect, and store rope access and cleaning equipment properly after use. - Notify supervisors of any damaged or malfunctioning gear. **Qualifications & Requirements**: - **Valid IRATA Level 1 Certification (mandatory).**: - 1 year previous experience in rope access or façade cleaning. - Basic understanding of working at heights and fall protection systems. - Ability to follow strict safety procedures. - Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions. - Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians. **Physical Requirements**: - Comfortable working at extreme heights (high-rise buildings). - Ability to carry and maneuver cleaning equipment while suspended. - Good hand-eye coordination and balance. **Work Environment**: - Outdoor work on high-rise buildings, scaffolding, or suspended platforms. - Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain). - May require travel to different job sites.
