**MATERIAL ENGINEER**

The **MATERIAL ENGINEER** is part of the shared services team and will be providing all necessary assistance to the construction team with respect to all materials submittals, approvals, testing, sampling, etc. He will participate in the quality control of materials including all the laboratory and field testing, acceptance of used materials, and checking and accepting all remedial and corrective measures.

As a **MATERIAL ENGINEER** you will be responsible for looking into the properties of various materials used for projects in construction, and then selecting the best based on these findings. The job role of a materials engineer involves the following duties:
**Responsibilities**:

- Researching the properties of materials
- Selecting the best materials for specific purposes, i.e. lightest, most hard-wearing
- Testing materials under different conditions to assess how resistant they are, i.e. to heat, corrosion, or chemical attack
- Analyzing material test data using modeling software
- Investigating structural issues and advising on material maintenance and repair
- Calculating material costs and advising on the best products to use
- Writing reports for project engineers and managers
- Developing building prototypes
- Considering waste/environmental impact arising from material use
- Working in a construction company with roads projects experiences

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, diploma or equivalent
With **UPDA / MME required**
At least more than **10 years experience in similar role**
With **GCC** experience and **Roads experience**
**Must be available in Qatar with valid QID**
**Willing to join immediately**
