Senior Instructional Designer

1. Research, recommend, design and implement solutions including but not limited to best educational practices, instructional resources, instructional technologies, multimedia hardware/software and technology-oriented academic tools into discipline specific course content to support teaching & learning.
3. Analyze potential instructional design advantages as well as cost benefit analysis for academic technology.
4. Gather information and determine suitability of current and cutting-edge tools and equipment utilized in a classroom or virtual setting.
5. Address copyright concerns and ADA compliance issues.
6. Design and deliver faculty training programs including synchronous training (f2f and web-based), online self-paced training, collateral training materials, and individual consultations on the methods and practices for developing and maintaining course technology. This includes instructing individual faculty who may have little to no technical expertise or knowledge of innovative and/or on-line instruction.
7. Provide support for all online learning and instructional technology products and services. Develop and maintain the support materials for faculty and students including digital & print instructional resources, such as the training calendar, tutorials, and relevant links.
8. Ensure PD offerings and content meet current technological trends and can be deployed to PC, tablet, and mobile devices.
9. Manage the LMS through the creation and copying of courses, adding course content, ensuring LMS compatibility, and maintaining users, profiles, permissions, and layouts.
10. Implement training workshops for departmental employees focused on developing LMS proficiency, instructional efficacy and meaningful learning experiences.
11. Assist in the implementation and updates of DLOE strategic plan.
12. Collect and document all the necessary data for reporting purposes.
13. Perform other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.
14. Ensure confidentiality of information at all times

16. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills.
17. Manage complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate on multiple projects concurrently
**Qualifications**:
Minimum:
- Bachelor in Instructional/Educational Technology, Information Technology or closely related field
Preferred:
- Master degree in instructional design, instructional systems technology, educational technology or related field.
- Certificate/diploma in the areas of instructional/ curriculum/web design and/or AR/VR/XR.
- Practical knowledge of information architecture, content strategy and UI design is a plus
