F&b Supervisor

**Position Summary**:
**Main Responsibilities**:

- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House operations.
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Work closely with the executive chef to design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
- Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and catering events
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Supervise F&B team members by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel.
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies, and procedures.
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

**Minimum Qualifications & Experience**:

- BSc degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or culinaryschooling is a plus
- 3 or more years of experience in a similar position in a hotel or hospitality industry.
- At least 2 years of prior experience in F&B in Qatar as a Restaurant/Outlet Manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Hotel PMS system, hotel accounting and sales system
- Excellent communication in verbal and written communications in English.

- Proven customer service experience as a manager
- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Acute financial management skills
- Solid judgment with ability to advise on decisions.
- High level of ownership and individual initiative
- A team player and open-minded, with solid business acumen.
- Methodical, System and business process driven with great organization skills.

**Special Requirements**:

- Work typically takes place in a restaurant outlet in addition to normal office environment requiring standing, walking, sitting, operating a PC and other office.
- May require extended and varying work hours to meet demands.

**Salary**: From QAR3,500.00 per month
