**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical technicians and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of mechanical work on construction projects.
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and organize the installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Assign tasks to team members, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules and budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations to verify compliance with design plans, codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to resolve technical issues, address design changes, and optimize workflow coordination.
  • Ensure that all tools, equipment, and materials required for mechanical work are available, properly maintained, and used safely by team members.
  • Enforce safety procedures and regulations on the construction site, conduct safety meetings, and promote a culture of safety awareness among team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked by team members for reporting and billing purposes.
  • Train, mentor, and develop mechanical technicians to enhance their skills, knowledge, and productivity.

**Qualifications**

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in mechanical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) working in a similar role as a mechanical foreman or supervisor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, as well as relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, as well as knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.
