Senior Reporting

We are hiring a **Senior Reporting & Budgeting Accountant** for one of our esteemed clients in the construction and infrastructure sector in Qatar. Please find the job description below.

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the financial consolidation process for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Analyze financial performance and provide commentary to senior management on variances, trends, and key financial metrics.

**Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with project managers, department heads, and senior management.
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models for forecasting purposes.
- Provide ongoing forecasts and support the management team with timely updates and financial insights.
- Monitor construction project budgets and ensure that costs are in line with projections.

**Financial Consolidation**:

- Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple business units and entities, including joint ventures and subsidiaries.
- Ensure accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
- Perform detailed reconciliations between the consolidated results and individual entity results.

**Financial Analysis & Strategic Support**:

- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost control, efficiency improvements, and investment opportunities.
- Work closely with project managers and the leadership team to evaluate the financial health of ongoing and future construction projects.
- Assist with financial modeling for business decisions, including project viability assessments and cash flow projections.

**Compliance & Internal Controls**:

- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Support the development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

**Systems & Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial reporting and budgeting systems.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems or enhancements to existing platforms.

**Education and Qualifications**:
**Education**:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or similar qualification preferred).

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with significant exposure to financial consolidation in a construction or project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry financials, project accounting, and cost management.
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in financial consolidation software (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Microsoft office).
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, ideally within the construction or project-based industries.
