Instrument & Controls (I&c) Head Epc-4

**30622 - INSTRUMENT & CONTROLS (I&C) HEAD EPC-4 (FIELD ENGINEERING)**

At **Eni **, we are looking for an **Instrument & Controls (I&C) Head - EPC-4 **within our Branch in **Qatar **. You will be responsible for overseeing EPC 4 Field I&C Engineering activities in support of NFE Onshore LNG Projects construction, ensuring all technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, etc. are in full compliance with project requirements and standardised processes, and are delivered to the highest technical quality standards. You will provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete I&C field engineering activities, to meet project objectives and milestones.

**As a member of the Field Engineering Division, you will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring EPC-4 I&C Control System Integration engineering activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and approved variations if any. Accountable for a quality design of I&C Control System Integration engineering deliverables, including design safety aspects and execution planning of I&C Control System Integration field activities.
- Resolving instrument discipline issues to ensure engineering design and construction addresses NFE Project’s expectations and objectives. Communicating and elevating issues before they escalate to Project Management when necessary.
- Driving work execution, ensuring technical alignment and quality with various disciplines’ stakeholders from both PMT and EPC Contractor. Provides guidance to EPC Contractor to complete I&C design as per project specifications in a timely manner and provides clear direction when project instructions or specifications are not clear.
- Driving the EPC Contractor to develop plans and work schedules that ensure effective completion of project activities and providing data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays for monthly progress and stewardship reporting.
- Supporting multi-discipline activities providing I&C expertise to other disciplines as necessary, to complete activities within schedule and making appropriate recommendations to management on I&C issues.
- Supporting interfacing between key vendors and EPC Contractor to ensure quality and execution objectives are met.
- Leading brownfield interface coordination with QELNG OPCO to develop execution plans to tie-in to existing systems.Participating in sharing lessons learned, together with capturing current lessons learned to benefit future projects.

**This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Extensive experience working in the field of Instrumentations Control and Safety Systems, in a Major LNG Project, with broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, onshore facilities design, construction and operations.
- Relevant experience should be in a major project construction / commissioning / start up, with demonstrate contributions to installation, commissioning and first time start-up of instrument and controls systems.
- Previous knowledge of Smart Technologies such as Foundation Field Bus.
- Demonstrated broad Instruments & Controls equipment and systems experience (Emerson DCS & SE Triconex SIS, Virtualization, Emerson Instrument Asset Management System (IAMS), PAS Alarm Management System (AMS), PI Real Time Information management System (RTIS) and familiarity with relevant manufacturing processes and relevant industry codes.
- Both brownfield and green field experience is an advantage.
- Good understanding of International (ISA/IEC) Standards and best practices in the areas of Instrumentation installations and testing.
- Field commissioning and Start-up experience desirable.
- Proficient in English language.
- Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills.
- Strong technical, prioritisation and management skills.
- Proficient in MS Microsoft Office.Good communication, influencing and interface skills.
