To ensure the implementation and adherence to safety policies, procedures, and standards across oil and gas operations. The Safety Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and minimizing risk in accordance with local and international HSE regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor company HSE policies and procedures at the site level.
- Conduct daily site inspections, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure compliance with safety legislation and company standards across all Oil & Gas activities.
- Report, investigate, and record all incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure readiness of fire-fighting and first-aid equipment.
- Participate in Permit to Work (PTW) system implementation and ensure proper documentation.
- Provide HSE training and awareness sessions to site personnel.
- Liaise with client HSE representatives and attend safety coordination meetings.
- Maintain safety documentation, checklists, and inspection logs.
- Monitor and ensure use of appropriate PPE across site teams.
- Recommend improvements to reduce risks and improve overall site safety.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
- NEBOSH IGC (mandatory).
- IOSH, OSHA, or other relevant safety certifications (preferred).
- Minimum **5 years of experience** in **Oil & Gas projects** (onshore/offshore).
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, hazard identification, and control measures.
- Experience with PTW systems and safety audits.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in high-risk and fast-paced environments.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Must be willing to work in remote/offshore locations.
- Valid H2S, Fire Watch, and First Aid certificates (preferred).
- Physically fit and medically cleared for oil & gas site deployment.
