Safety Officer

**Position: Safety Officer**

**Position Overview**

We are looking for a **qualified and experienced Safety Officer** to ensure that all project activities are carried out in compliance with company, client, and legal safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Health, Safety & Environment Management**
- Advise, guide, and facilitate the **Project/Line Management, Supervisors, and Workforce** on all matters pertaining to **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)**.
- Monitor HSE standards at all work sites and provide proactive advice for continuous improvement.
- Ensure all site activities comply with the **Project HSE Plan**, relevant company policies, and legal requirements.
- Participate in **Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)** and **Hazard Effect Management Process (HEMP)** for all activities.

**Training & Awareness**
- Organize and conduct **in-house and mandatory HSE training programs** for employees and maintain accurate training records.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and refresher training sessions to reinforce safety awareness.

**Incident Investigation & Reporting**
- Support line management in **investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions**.
- Prepare investigation reports and ensure that **learning points and corrective actions** are communicated and implemented.
- Maintain up-to-date records and compile HSE statistics and reports for submission to the HSE Systems Manager.

**Inspection & Audit**
- Plan and conduct **regular site inspections and internal audits** to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
- Carry out **periodic inspections of vehicles, plants, tools, PPE, and equipment** to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct **camp inspections** to ensure health, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
- Recommend corrective actions for non-conformities and follow up on their timely closure.
- Participate in **HSE meetings, drills, and emergency response exercises**.

**Documentation & Compliance**
- Maintain all HSE records including inspection reports, audit findings, training logs, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with **company and client HSE policies, local legislation, and international standards**.
- Prepare HSE reports and performance data for submission to management and clients.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Bachelor’s Degree** in any relevant discipline (Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent).
- **Minimum 7 years** of relevant HSE experience in **construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects**.
- Must hold **NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC 1, 2 & 3)**.
- Strong knowledge of **international safety standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)** and HSE management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Strong report-writing and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management documentation.
- Proactive, disciplined, and committed to fostering a strong safety culture.
- **Locally available in Saudi Arabia or who willing to relocation KSA**
