**Position Title**: Mason
**Department**: Construction/Maintenance
**Reports To**: Site Supervisor/Foreman

**Job Summary**:
The Mason is responsible for performing skilled masonry work in the construction, repair, and maintenance of buildings, structures, and other related projects. The role includes using various materials such as brick, concrete, stone, and tile to create durable and aesthetically pleasing finishes, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest quality standards and within project timelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lay and bind building materials such as bricks, stones, and tiles to construct or repair walls, floors, partitions, arches, and other structures.
- Cut, shape, and polish stones and bricks to specified sizes using hand and power tools.
- Build scaffolding and other temporary structures as required.
- Repair and restore existing masonry work, ensuring structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Diagnose issues such as cracks, leaks, or damage and implement appropriate solutions.
- Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
- Measure and mark surfaces to lay out work in accordance with design plans.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and plumbing of structures during the construction process.
- Adhere to all workplace safety standards and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (Vocational training in masonry preferred).

**Experience**:

- 5-7 years of experience in masonry, specifically in construction and renovation projects.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce precise and high-quality work.
- Good physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
